"How the oppressor has come to an end! The Lord has broken the rod of the wicked...which ...in fury subdued nations with relentless aggression. All the lands are at rest and at peace.
"Those who see you stare at you: 'Is this the man who shook the earth and made kingdoms tremble, the man who made the world a desert, who overthrew its cities and would not let his captives go home?'
"All the kings of the nations lie in state, each in his own tomb. But you are cast out of your tomb like a rejected branch; you are covered with the slain...for you have destroyed your land and killed your people.
"The grave below is all astir to meet you at your coming; it rouses the spirits of the departed to greet you - all those who were leaders in the world...They will say to you, 'You also have become weak, as we are. You said in your heart, 'I will ascend to heaven... I will make myself like the Most High.' But all your pomp has been brought down to the grave, along with the noise of your harps."
These are words not written only after Hitler's downfall; the prophet Isaiah already wrote them two and a half thousand years ago. They are excerpts from chapter 14 of his book, a song for Israel to sing after the downfall of Babylon's king when "the Lord will have compassion on Jacob; once again he will choose Israel." But how appropriate they are for our day and for Hitler's end! Yes, they are prophet's words, God's word, words of eternity, words of the Bible.
The Bible - written and completed thousands of years ago - is full of life up to the present day. It is contemporary up to this hour, full of wisdom and full of explanations for all things, whether in heaven, on earth, or in the depths of the dead's realm.
If only people would allow God's word to lead them, how much earthly suffering and hellish torment would be spared them!
"How the oppressor has come to an end!" Hitler is finished! With Admiral Doenitz's announcement of Hitler's death and with the capitulation of the German army, the eyes of even the most stubborn Nazi were opened regarding the "German miracle", as Goebbels called his master. Yes, Hitler was a miracle, but a Satanic one. Hitler was the greatest miracle Satan accomplished on German soil, the greatest curse which ever came upon Germany and the world. We have repeatedly referred to Hitler's spiritist connections. Hitler knew he was borne by other-worldly powers; he had visions and heard the voice of a spirit. He held this spirit for God and he meant God when he spoke of the Almighty, of Providence, of intuitions etc. And from him Hitler expected the aid, the rescue, the miracle, the victory - even at "five minutes to twelve". The greatest and most terrible disappointment in Hitler's life was to realize, 5 minutes after 12, that the spirit world had deceived and deserted him. Hitler's god, Satan, proved himself powerful, to be sure - but not almighty; capable of winning a thousand battles but not the war.
Through Hitler, the center of darkness and chosen instrument of Satan, first of all his own circle - the Nazi party - and then all of Germany was demonized and "brought into line". Step by step the Nazis gave up whatever still bound them to God and goodness, to light and truth, until they were totally controlled by demons and could think and act only demonically. This leads us to the explanation for the unbelievable events in the German concentration camps and for Nazi outrages in the occupied territories. Look at the pictures of the SS-men and women who are now prisoners of the Allies: beasts in human form. During the course of time, what had been human in them was soaked up by the demons which took possession of these bodies and formed them according to the Satanic image.
Encounters with Hitler's demon world were not limited to participation in his spiritistic meetings. Millions came under their influence as soon as they accepted his mark - the swastika.
Satan creates counter images of things which are from God. The opposite image of the cross is the cross which is bent at its four corners - the swastika.
The cross is the sign of Christ, the sign of salvation, the sign of blessing.
The swastika is the sign of Satan, the sign of damnation, the sign of curse.
Whoever accepts the cross surrenders himself to God and is filled with the Holy Spirit. He participates in the divine blessing in this world and the next.
Whoever accepted the swastika surrendered to Satan and was filled with the Satanic spirit. He participated in the curse in this world and the next.
The Revelation of John recommends being killed rather than accepting the "sign of the beast", honoring Satan's instrument and serving him.
Revelation does not speak directly of Hitler, but of the "beast from the sea", that anti-Christ who will be the most perfect in the line of Satanic incarnations. But since Hitler should be considered a foreruner of the "beast", we believe that everything Revelation says about the "beast" likewise applies to Hitler in principle.
Let us read the following verses from Revelation from this point of view:
"And I saw a beast coming out of the sea (the sea of peoples)... The dragon gave the beast his power and his throne and great authority.
"They worshipped the beast and asked, 'Who is like the beast?' Who can make war against him? All inhabitants of the earth will worship the beast - all whose names have not been written in the book of life belonging to the Lamb.
"He forced everyone...to receive a mark on his right hand or on his forehead, so that no one could buy or sell unless he had the mark, which is the name of the beast or the number of his name." (chapter 13)
"'If anyone worships the beast and his image and receives his mark on the forehead or on the hand, he, too, will drink of the wine of God's fury.' This calls for patient endurance on the part of the saints who obey God's commandments and remain faithful to Jesus.
"Then I heard a voice from heaven say, 'Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on.' 'Yes,' says the Spirit, 'they will rest from their labor, for their deeds will follow them.'" (chapter 14)
"'They have come out of the great tribulation; they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb...They are before the throne of God and serve him day and night in his temple. Never again will they hunger; never again will they thirst...For the Lamb at the center of the throne will be their shepherd; he will lead them to springs of living water. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.'" (chapter 7)
"If anyone is to go into captivity, into captivity he will go. If anyone kills with the sword, with the sword he will be killed. This calls for patient endurance and faithfulness on the part of the saints." (chapter 13)
"Be faithful, even to the point of death, and I will give you the crown of life." (chapter 2)
These Bible verses lead us to the following thoughts, assumptions and conclusions:
Only those could fall for Hitler's swindle, i.e. be intoxicated by Nazi propaganda, "whose names have not been written in the book of life belonging to the Lamb"; further, Christians who were still weak in their faith. The true Christians saw through him immediately, refused him the greeting and all obedience; they would not receive his mark, no matter what the consequences - whose severity they knew.
The best thing one could do in Nazi Germany (if one was unable to flee) was to let oneself be killed.
Hitler was the death of Germany. He meant death for all who fell into his hands.
If we must die, if we cannot avoid death, then we will at least die in honor and not in disgrace, with blessing and not with a curse.
Those who were killed by the Nazis for Christ's sake are blessed.
"Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on." From now on...from that day on which one would have been allowed to live through a pact with Satan. It is better to die in the Lord than to live in and with Satan.
Whoever died then, whoever let the Nazis kill him for Christ's sake, proved his faith, his love and his faithfulness to God. "This calls for patient endurance on the part of the saints who obey God's commandments and remain faithful to Jesus."
What a wonderful choice is made by those who remain faithful to God even to death, who endure to the end, who do not deny God, who do not accept the mark of the beast and who can say with Daniel's friends, "If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God we serve is able to save us from it. But even if he does n o t, we want you to know, O king, that we will not serve your gods or worship the image you have set up" (Daniel 3:17-18).
But whoever did not die then, whoever did not let the Nazis kill him for Christ's sake and for the sake of truth and mankind, whoever served Hitler, whoever went to war for him, who killed and destroyed for him brought on himself the curse - the curse of Germany, the curse of mankind and the curse of eternity.
Did those who submitted to Hitler, whether from conviction or from cowardice and fear of death, then save their lives or their prosperity?
No, not even earthly happiness was granted them. Although they led a good life for a few years - due to the war preparations there was work and bread for everyone in Germany - Hitler then sent them to the war. For him they had to attack peaceful peoples, proceeding from one crime to another. And then they themselves had to pay...
No torment was spared the German soldiers in the field or the German people at home. Hitler sent his soldiers to Russia's icy cold and Africa's burning heat. Many were killed, many were crippled, and those who were left over were led to captivity.
And in the homeland it rained fire and sulfur, bombs without number. Berlin, Cologne and other cities of all sizes were destroyed by fire and many persons were burned to death. Such was the life which the Germans bought for themselves from Hitler. This is the reward they received for serving him, Satan's slave. Did not they choose a better lot who right at the beginning of Hitler's reign, or at least at the beginning of the war, let themselves be killed by the Nazis?
"If anyone is to go into captivity, into captivity he will go. If anyone kills with the sword, with the sword he will be killed. He will drink of the wine of God's fury and be tormented in the presence of the holy angels and of the Lamb."
This is how the Nazis ended - all those who helped Hitler and served him as policemen and soldiers - the end of the Nazis in this world and their beginning in the next one... "The grave below is all astir to meet you at your coming."
The thought which still clouds our joy over Hitler's downfall and painfully troubles us is that Hitler was not the end of a Satanic development on earth. He was only a link, the transition to a still greater evil, the appearance of the "beast".
Therefore we have treated the Hitler problem in a special way in this article. We are not concerned merely with explaining a past phenomenon but primarily to warn about a future one. In addition, we want to warn about Satanic connections in all anti-Christian currents and point out the dangers which even the least compromise calls forth.
We wrote of the service to Hitler because we are expecting the rise of a still more dangerous demonic cult. We applied Bible texts to Hitler because we now see the Satanic incarnation and the coming of the man to whom they most fully apply.
May all who read these lines therefore look not only toward the past, but also toward the future. May they arm themselves for the battle against the anti-Christ, of whom Hitler was a predecessor.
We praise those who for Christ's sake let themselves be killed by the Nazis and those who will fall as martyrs in the new battle for Christ.
The crown of life is certain only for those who uncompromisingly live and die for Christ.
"Yes, says the Spirit, they will rest from their labor, for their deeds will follow them" (Rev. 14:13).
